The home was a natural place for sharing the gospel in the early church. Sharing of faith took place largely in everyday situations through one to one conversations.
Scripture:
“Go out to the whole world: Proclaim the good news to all creation”(Mk 16: l 5). Faith is to be shared in the `world’ that each person inhabits -family – work – neighbourhood.
Pope Paul VI:
“Evangelization is the special grace and vocation to the church. It is her essential function” (EN, 14).
World situation
Apathy, materialism, poverty and violence are rife. This calls for a proclamation of the gospel from those “whose lives are aglow with fervour” (EN, 80).
